OUR STORY
Sweet
Bites Bakery & Café was
opened in the fall of 2007
by Caitlin Adler and
Christopher Vuich. Both were
raised in Westchester, NY,
and both long had a desire
to run an artisan bakery and
Café where friends, family,
and food lovers could enjoy
delicious handmade bread,
pastries, and savory food in
a warm and casual
atmosphere.
Caitlin holds a degree in
baking and pastry from the
Culinary Institute of
America in Hyde Park, NY.
She has worked in the pastry
kitchens of the
award-winning Four Seasons
hotels in Boston and Palm
Beach. She also worked at
Ocean Edge Resort on Cape
Cod, Purdy’s Homestead and
Lexington Square Café in
Westchester, and Tsunami
Restaurant in West Palm
Beach.
Christopher headed straight
to the kitchen after
graduating from Syracuse
University. He has worked
primarily in the Boston
area, with stints in North
Carolina (under renowned
Swiss Chef Beat Zuttel at
the Harvey Mansion) and in
West Palm Beach (at Café
Boulud and Tsunami
Restaurant). In 1997, Chris
and a fraternity brother
opened Panificio Bakery on
Beacon Hill in Boston and in
2006, as a co-owner, he
opened Panificio Back Bay.
He has also worked as Chef
de cuisine under celebrity
chef Todd English at Figs in
Chestnut Hill, Olives in
Charlestown, and Kingfish
Hall in Boston. And he
worked as chef de cuisine at
Andy Husbands’ Tremont 647
and Rouge restaurants in
Boston’s South End and at
Rustic Kitchen restaurants
in Boston and Hingham.
